Live your lash goals

A lash lift is incredibly popular in today’s beauty industry, and it’s easy to see why. A relatively quick procedure that can last anywhere from two to six weeks, eyelash lifts give the appearance of fuller, longer lashes and are super easy to maintain once you’ve had them done. But before you book your appointment, here are some things you should know about eyelash lifts.

WHAT IS AN EYELASH LIFT?

An eyelash lift is a perm that uses a silicone pad instead of a rod to shape the lashes. Lash lifts lift natural eyelashes from the root for them to appear longer. An option to add a keratin treatment to the service will thicken the lashes. Because it use chemicals mild enough for delicate eyelashes, an eyelash lift is not as aggressive as other types of perms and, therefore, less likely to irritate your eyes.

HOW DOES A LASH LIFT WORK?

An Eyelash Lift lifts your lashes from the root…the result? Eyes appear brighter, and lashes appear longer.

Like a traditional eyelash perm, an eyelash lift uses a slightly curved silicone pad instead of a rod to shape the lashes. A perm curls the lashes at the halfway mark (making them look shorter) while the lift perms the lashes at the root in a straight-up direction to achieve the lift effect.

An eyelash lift is perfect for those who want to enhance their lash look with minimal effort. This procedure is a great way to add the appearance of length. No extensions required! Since you can’t get an eyelash lift from any old salon, only trust licensed professionals—the application process could be harmful if not done correctly. Keeping these 5 things in mind makes getting your dream-lash easier than ever!

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

It is common for eyelashes to remain lifted for up to 8 weeks after a lash lift. As the eyelash growth cycle proceeds, your lashes will gradually lose their lift and curl back to normal.

WHO SHOULD GET AN EYELASH LIFT?

1

ALTERNATIVE TO EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Eyelash lifts are a great alternative to eyelash extensions and manual eyelash curlers.

2

LOW MAINTENANCE

As a result of a lash lift you can live a less complicated life. Unlike other lash enhancements which require you to be extra cautious around the eye area, with a lash lift you can wear any makeup, not worry about oil and you can even rub your eyes.

3

SHORT SERVICE TIME

The service takes 30 to 45 minutes, which makes it attractive when time is of concern.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING AND AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

Many similar looks can be achieved with different lash enhancements. Lash lengthening, lash thickening, and lash curling are all ways to achieve this. Using these methods will have you looking your best for many different occasions.

  • Step 1

The service begins with examining and cleaning lashes to eliminate the oils and other particles that can hinder the procedure. If your lashes are not clean, the solutions won’t be able to penetrate them. Your natural lashes length and thickness will dictate which pad to use and how long the solution will need to process, Thicker lashes usually require a longer processing time, and thinner lashes will need less time. A professional will examine your lashes and clean them to remove oils and other particles that can impede the application process. If you do not clean your lashes, the solution won’t be able to penetrate them. The length and thickness of your lashes will determine which pad to use.

  • Step 2

Based on the length of your natural lashes or the degree of lift desired, your lash professional will choose from a small, medium and large silicone pad.

  • Step 3

Under-eye pads will cover and protect your bottom lashes. It’s crucial to stop the solutions from getting into the bottom lashes.

  • Step 4

Applied to the upper eyelid with adhesive, a silicone pad creates a curved surface for the lashes. Applied to to your upper eyelid with adhesive, a silicone pad creates a curved surface for your lashes.

  • Step 5

During this step, the silicone pad is coated with adhesive and the eyelashes are brushed upward onto the pad. The placement of the eyelashes on the silicone pad ultimately determines the outcome of the lash lift, which is why this step is critical. A silicone pad is applied to your upper eyelid with adhesive to create a curved surface for your lashes.

  • Step 6

The lashes are coated with perm solution #1 to process. The thickness of the lashes determines the time required to process. The lashes are wiped to remove perm solution to prepare for the next step.

  • Step 7

Similar to the application of solution #1, the lashes are coated with solution #2 and processed. This solution sets the lashes to the shape of the silicone pad. The lashes are cleaned after processing.

  • Step 8

A tint applied to the lashes at this stage enhances the lifted lashes with intensity and definition. The removal of the silicone pad after a final cleaning of the lashes marks the end of the procedure.

  • Step 9

Conditioner with proteins and vitamins nourish the lashes, as a final step

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY LASHES AFTER TREATMENT?

We advise against exposing your lashes to water, heat or steam for the first 24 hours after getting an eyelash lift, this means no super hot showers or saunas

After the first 24 hours, you’re good to go. Caring for lifted lashes is low maintenance. There are really no products to avoid – using mascara and oil based products are fine.

Perms are traditionally drying and can sometimes feel stiff. Applying a nourishing serum or oil to your lashes will help them maintain their elasticity.
